Anyone know anything about meditation? I am interested in meditating and visualizing, and I need a book of the basics. I also would like the know the differences between the various ways to meditate, like for example there is zen meditation and then there is Hindi meditation involving cleansing the chakras or something like that. I need to learn what all this is about. Do you have a book that might explain this to me that you can refer me to? I greatly appreciate this.

hatha yoga question by Manuel: Can I heal my back through hatha yoga?
I have been practicing yoga for a year now and just a few days ago I think I pulled something while doing Mountain pose (at the slight back bend part) because ever since my back has not felt right. It is not a pain per say but just like a slight pressure almost. Sometimes it does tend to hurt all of a sudden tho. I was wondering if there were any asanas that would help heal this?

I would suggest talking to your yoga teacher. Back problems are complex, so it’s important to find a teacher with adequate training and as much experience as possible. Some asanas can be helpful in one situation but should be avoided to prevent making the problem worse in other situations.
