I have been a Reiki and Seichim Master for about 10 years now and meditation is part of my daily routines, just like brushing my teeth. There is no set time which one “should” do meditation. There is no “should” in spirituality anyway. If you have not been toughed what meditation to do and all the ins and outs you possibly did not go with the right ‘Teacher’. When I learnt how to use my Reiki (everyone has got the ability) the teacher chose the student. Just go back to basics, talk with your inner self, keep the connection up-to-date, use Reiki everyday, practise, practise, practise. Do not forget you are only used for the energy to flow through. If you are not well, physically, mentally or spiritually, you are getting healed first – if your Higher Self is accepting. I will leave it with you here as I do not want to write the book on this site.

you should contact your Master asap and get some advice.
and if the Reiki Master who attuned you does not know – then wait until one whom is meant to teach you presents him or herself. and in the meantime use the reiki for yourself and simply allow your mind to wander into meditation as you are performing the treatment.
